Warburg Pincus acquires 24.48% stake of HDFC in Good Host Spaces – ET RealEstate

NEW DELHI: Baskin Lake Investment, an affiliate of Warburg Pincus, has become a significant shareholder in Good Host Spaces, a student housing provider, through acquisition of HDFC‘s 24.48 percent stake along with a primary investment in the company, it said in a media release.

Existing shareholder Goldman Sachs and Baskin Lake will support the future growth of Good Host by investing additional capital to fund the company’s growth objectives.

Established in September 2017 by Nimesh Grover and Stanley D’britto, Good Host currently operates approximately 18,000 beds. The company plans to expand its portfolio to 50,000 beds in the near term.
