Government providing financial help to build ‘pucca house’: Madhya Pradesh CM – ET RealEstate

ASHOK NAGAR: With an aim to eliminate all mud-brick houses from Madhya Pradesh by 2023, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday said that financial help is being provided to people for building ‘pucca houses’ by the government under various housing schemes.

“No house will remain Kutcha in the next three years in the state, financial help is being given to building pucca house by the government under the housing schemes,” a government statement quoted Chouhan as saying.

“Now, poor, labourers, farmers do not have to worry for anything in the state, the government is taking care of their needs. The Sambal Yojana has been re-started in the state, which is a security cover for poor. Through this scheme, various kinds of assistance are being made available to the poor,” he added.

Chouhan was addressing on the occasion of inauguration and foundation laying of development works in Rajpur of Ashok Nagar district. In the programme, he inaugurated and laid the foundation of development works costing total Rs 244.92 crore.

Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jajpal Singh Jajji, Umesh Raghuvanshi, Collector Abhay Verma and others were present at the programme.

Stating that Ashok Nagar will be made Smart City, the Chief Minister announced for starting an Agriculture College from next year.

He further said that the state will be made Atmanirbhar (self-reliant).

“Chief Minister Chouhan has said that because of the COVID crisis, the economy of the state has been hit hard, but he will not let paucity of funds hinders people’s welfare and state’s development. If required, the government will undertake the works by obtaining a loan. The state will be made Atmanirbhar,” the statement read.

Madhya Pradesh transfers Rs 102 crore to 68,000 PMAY beneficiaries – ET RealEstate

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said that Rs 102 crore were being transferred to 68,000 beneficiaries under the Prime Minister Awas Yojna (PMAY).

In a virtual meeting with beneficiaries, the CM observed that the lives of the poor in the state was improving.

“We are transferring Rs 102 crore in the accounts of 68,000 beneficiaries of the state under the PMAY. This is the fourth instalment under the Yojna. You all can organise Grah Pravesh puja on September 12 at 11 am and also listen to PM Modi. Congratulations to all. We will again meet on the same day,” he said.

He also interacted with some of the beneficiaries and asked if the construction of their homes was complete.

He also lauded the role of state Rural Development in the implementation of MNREGA.

“This government is working for the poor and also changing their lives,” Chouhan said.
