Indore: 15 housing societies under lens – ET RealEstate

INDORE: Tightening noose around land mafia, Indore district administration has identified 15 cooperative housing societies, against whom multiple complaints of fraud have been filed.

β€œAs part of ongoing crackdown against land mafia and after taking strict actions including lodging FIRs against 18 persons including Deepak Jain alias Dilip Sisodia alias Madda and Surendra Sanghvi, we have received multiple complaints of similar nature against 15 cooperative housing societies,” ADM Abhay Bedekar said.

He added that along with examining the complaints of irregularities as part of operation of said number of cooperative housing societies, the administration has started fixing responsibilities of the directors along with identification of land and the eligible plot owners to felicitate them their rights.

β€œIn Pusp Vihar Colony, 100 per cent and 50 per cent demarcation of Sector E and F has been completed respectively while same process for Sector G and H is likely to be done in next four days further to help allotting plots to the eligible people based on the seniority list and other factors,” the ADM said, adding that in ongoing work of demarcation of Ayodhyapuri Colony, some parts of 7.5 hectares of land has been found in possession of Shakuntalam housing society, Simplex and KS oil firm.

β€œTo provide plots to eligible claimants in Ayodhyapuri Colony, we will also have to change its land use to residential. We are working on the same,” he said. Meanwhile, the administration has received complaints against Jain for fraudulently taking possession on some valuable lands of Indore Development Authority. An investigation in this matter has been initiated.

On Monday, Indore collector Manish Singh instructed all SDMs to take strict actions against anti-social elements, who have taken illegal possession on the land. He also asked SDMs to provide justice to eligible plots owners by removing illegal possession from their land.
